Day About Town

After all the excitement of yesterday, today we decided to take things easy. We took a quick road trip to Montecastello di Vibio, a town a few miles away, stopping by Montemolino on the way to admire the four houses that make it up. Once we got to Montecastello di Vibio, we enjoyed a leisurely coffee (big surprise) and croissants that the barista had baked that morning.

Then we got to the real reason we were there: Il Teatro della Concordia, also known as the smallest box theater in the world. Built in the 1800s by private families, it has just 99 seats and is absolutely darling. While I don't have any photos, it is definitely worth a Google!

The rest of the morning was spent running various errands-- Matthew got to see the shop where the cheese and wine made at James's school are sold, as well as entire rabbits and chickens at the butcher's. In the afternoon, we had to make another stop at the pet shop, so we got to play with the bunnies again! One more stop, this time at the old cemetery, and we called it a day. Hard to believe we're halfway through the trip already!
