Walk Like an Etruscan

Friday morning we (very sadly) had to drop Matthew off at the airport. On our way back from Rome, Florence and Mummy and I cheered ourselves up by taking a field trip to a nearby attraction-- an Etruscan necropolis! It was incredible to walk inside these millennia-old tombs.

The grounds were huge-- dozens and dozens of tombs all over the place.

Here's one from the outside! You walk in the little openings and usually down some steps to get to the tombs.

This was a particularly beautiful tomb from the outside.
